Professional Biography
Dr. William T. Wallace Jr. is an ordained minister, Christian apologist, professor, author, husband, and retired U.S. Army Special Forces Noncommissioned Officer with more than two decades of ministry and leadership experience. He serves as an associate Minister at New Life Bible Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he has been actively involved in ministry, biblical teaching, discipleship, apologetics, and leadership development for more than twenty years. His ministry reflects a deep conviction that Christians must not only know what they believe, but also understand why they believe it and be prepared to communicate that truth faithfully to others.
Dr. Wallace's academic and teaching ministry centers on Christian apologetics, biblical worldview development, philosophy, classical theism, comparative worldviews, expository teaching, and the intersection of Christianity and contemporary culture. He earned a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching and Teaching from Liberty University and holds graduate degrees in Christian Apologetics and Religion from Southern Evangelical Seminary. He is also pursuing a second Doctor of Ministry in Christian Apologetics at Southern Evangelical Seminary, with anticipated completion in 2027. As a college professor, he has taught undergraduate and graduate students in courses including Christian Apologetics, Worldviews, Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, Classical Theism, Christian Apologetics to Islam, and biblical studies.
His passion for apologetics is ultimately pastoral. Dr. Wallace believes apologetics should never become merely an intellectual exercise designed to win arguments; rather, it should equip ordinary Christians to faithfully engage real people who are wrestling with real questions. This conviction led to the development of his Inform, Defend, Shape model; a practical approach designed to help Christians understand competing ideas and worldviews, defend biblical truth with confidence and grace, and shape the worldview of others through biblical exposition, discipleship, and Christian leadership. Whether teaching in the church, classroom, or broader community, his goal remains the same: to help develop believers who can think biblically, defend faithfully, teach clearly, and live consistently with the Christian worldview.
