Ryno Fermor
"Called to be salt and light — contending for sound doctrine and shining truth into culture."
Background & Ministry
Ryno Fermor is the First-Year Program Leader and Lecturer at Apologetics SA Bible College, where he has served since 2023. His theological training began in earnest in 2019 at Lewende Woord Bible College, building a solid foundation in inductive biblical studies, classical theism, and apologetics. In 2021, he served as a pastoral intern at Lewende Woord Centurion. He holds a Bachelor of Theology (BTh) from the South African Theological Seminary (SATS) and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics and Theology at Southern Evangelical Seminary (SES).
Ryno's heart for discipleship and outreach was shaped early on through Target Life Gap Year, participating in 2017 before returning in 2018 as a facilitator and coach. He has been involved in annual mission outreaches since 2017, leading to his founding of Salt and Light Africa Missions NPC (SALA) in 2021, which facilitates an annual outreach on the West Coast. Within his local church, Ryno preaches and serves on the worship team, while also hosting the Hey Culture podcast to engage contemporary issues from a Christian worldview.
Ryno is happily married to Lizaan Fermor, sharing a passion for serving God and His church. Outside of ministry, he is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys South African culture, camping, hunting, fishing, the bushveld, beaches, good coffee, and an unapologetic braai!
