Where Should You Start?
Not sure which Hub or Guild to pursue? The beauty of the Institute is that you can tailor your training to your exact calling. Here are a few suggested pathways depending on your current season of ministry:
I want to confidently answer the doubts of my children, friends, and coworkers, but I have no formal theological training.
- Start with The Foundations Guild.
- This is the universal starting point for all new students. It is designed specifically to introduce you to classical logic and worldview analysis without overwhelming you.
- Suggested First Workshops: Begin immediately with FOUND.101.Introduction to Apologetics to understand your biblical mandate, followed by FOUND.121.Strengthened Mind to learn the basic "grammar of logic" and how to spot common fallacies.
I am already in ministry, but I need to know how to effectively protect my congregation from cultural skepticism and internal theological drift.
- Start with The Ministry Guild and/or The Theology Guild.
- You need less apologetic facts and more how to deploy them in your local church. The Ministry Guild provides an intuitive catalog for applying apologetics directly to your congregation.
- Suggested Hubs: Focus on the Preaching Hub and the Discipleship Hub.
I am serving overseas or living in a highly diverse, pluralistic community, and I need to lovingly engage people of entirely different faiths.
- Start with The Worldviews Guild.
- You need deep theological discernment and a specific understanding of the religious systems in your geographic area so you can articulate the exclusivity of Christ.
- Suggested Hubs: Choose the Hub that matches your mission field, such as the Islam Hub, Asia Hub, or Africa Hub.
I want to proactively shape the worldview of the next generation and confidently answer their early doubts, but I need practical tools to integrate these truths at home or in the classroom.
- Start with The Ministry Guild.
- This is the dedicated space for domestic discipleship and Christian education. Anchored by the mandate of Ephesians 4:12 to equip God's people for works of service, it is designed specifically to help you take classical apologetics and apply it directly to your family life, youth mentorship, or school curriculum.
- Additionally, you can focus on the Foundations Guild if you are new to apologetics or have some need for supplying some basic training.
