A Sanctuary for the Sound Mind

If you have ever picked up a classic theological work only to find yourself bogged down by the dense language or historical context, the ICA Library is built for you. Reading the great thinkers of the Christian tradition is one of the most rewarding pursuits of the spiritual life, yet it can often feel like a lonely and intimidating task when you try to navigate it alone.

The ICA Library is not a place for academic lectures or passive screen time. Instead, it is an interactive digital sanctuary where you get to read the book with our mentors. Through our structured Guided Readings, you will join a warm, living conversation that translates historic wisdom into practical, daily faithfulness.

How a Guided Reading Works

Our Library is built around complete flexibility, allowing you to move at your own pace and fit deep reading into your busy daily schedule:

1. Select Your Guided Reading: Choose a title from the ICA Guided Reading catalog. Unless ICA provides a public-domain or properly licensed copy, participants obtain the book through an authorized source. ICA supplies its guide and commentary.

2. Read the Chapter: Read a single chapter on your own, soaking in the author's arguments and noting your own questions.

3. Watch the Commentary: Log in to watch a twenty-five to forty-five-minute video Commentary for that specific chapter. Rather than sitting through a rigid, school-style lecture, you will watch a lively, Socratic conversation between two or more ICA mentors. They will unpack the chapter's historical background, synthesize the core theological arguments, and discuss how to apply those ideas to our modern cultural moment.
